For thrill-seekers and other non-conventional travellers, EXALT has specially designed this Adventure Expedition to the Akamas, which we call ‘Surf and Turf’ because participants are ‘subjected’ to a series of water-experiences both on land and in

the sea. Our goal: To go beyond the bounds of normal sightseeing tourism. This is an ‘experience-by-contact’ day, where you literally immerse yourself in Nature, not just look at it or point your camera at it! What can you expect? Contact with cool water and an Escape from the Heat! Add in a little fun and ‘light’ adventure, some good food and superb landscapes, and you’ve got the general picture. But here are some specifics: 

An adventurous speed boat ride*amongst sea cliffs and off-shore islands of the pristine Fontana Amoroza area (Cyprus’ NW tip) with ex-pirate, Captain Spyros;

A half-day jeep tour in the world’s ultimate 4x4 exploration machine: Land Rover Defender;

Viewing underwater canyons and ancient amphora deposits strewn across the sea floor;

Visiting a spectacular 10-metre waterfall, where swimming is encouraged;

Jumping off high rock platforms into deep natural plunge pools (optional!);

Snorkelling in and out of sea caves and isolated rocky coves with brilliantly clear turquoise waters (masks and snorkels are provided free of charge!).

Standard equipment includes: good shoes (trainers or trekking

sandals are fine), swimwear (we suggest you wear your gear when we pick you up!), camera, a ‘no-pain-no-gain’ mentality, and an appetite for action. You don’t need to be super-fit or super-young. All you need is the right attitude! However, all participants should be in reasonable health and able to walk unassisted down short rocky paths and steep slopes. This expedition features an adventure meze lunch taken in our special harbour-side taverna. A variety of dishes, including salads, vegetarian, meat and seafood, will be on offer, plus

complimentary wine. Bottled drinking water is provided gratis

throughout the day.
