| The
Doryssa Bay Hotel and Village is located only 1km from Pythagorio Village
in Samos Island on the beach of Pontokaki. It is a comprehensive Holiday Resort, with Rooms by the
sea, built with an artistic feeling and with respect for the architectural
and cultural tradition of the Island. It is a modern hotel, equipped with all the necessary facilities in order to meet the requirements of its guests. In the Main Restaurant, Breakfast and Dinner is served to guests on half board basis. Guests can help themselves from the American Breakfast Buffet, or be served Continental Breakfast from 6:30 a.m. The Dinner Menu which is different every evening and repetitive on a fortnight basis, includes a rich salad and cold dish bar. There are three Menus one of which is for Vegetarians. At the Buffet one can also find a big variety of sweets, fruits of the season as well as ice creams. At dinner, formal attire is required. Asterias Tavern is situated on the Beach, and at noon operates as a Self Service from noon to 7:00 p.m. In the evenings, Asterias operates as a A La Carte Tavern, with Live Music from 08:00 p.m. till 02:00 a.m. The Kochili Snack Bar is located on the Beach right next to the Swimming Pool and operates daily from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Here guests can enjoy a cup of coffee, have a snack or just relax after swimming drinking fresh juices, draft beer or enjoying an ice-cream. Breakfast is served at the Village’s Main Restaurant and at the Main Building from 06:30-10:00 a.m. The guests can have their Lunch at the Asterias Self-service Restaurant or a light meal at the Kochili Snack Bar. Dinner is served at the Main Restaurants from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. One may also have Dinner at the Asterias A La Carte Tavern. At the Village Square, next to the Church, guests can find the Aegean Sea Cafe. It is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The friendly and traditional feeling of the establishment are virtually those of the Villages of Samos, from the way of life and the serenity point. Here one can taste the Traditional Greek coffee prepared at the ember, drink an ouzo or wine along with local "mezedes" (small appetizers), or play the classic backgammon. The Ippocampos Bar is a lovely place to take a drink or cocktail whilst listening to soft music in a friendly atmosphere every day from 6:00 p.m. to midnight. Right next to the Main Reception is the Piano Bar. Indoors or Outdoors on the Veranda, overlooking the pond with ducks and several times a week accompanied by piano melodies, guests can enjoy a drink. Each week a Greek Night is organized at the "Asterias" Tavern with a rich variety of buffets, Greek specialties and traditional Greek sweets. Greek dancing lessons are also given, introducing thus the Greek way of entertainment. Each year, Doryssa Bay Hotel and Village celebrates the name day of the Saint Marina Church (July 16-17). On the eve, a huge Buffet is offered at the Village’s square with traditional dishes and sweets, while dance groups give their show with Greek Dances. The next day a special service is held and the Traditional Samos dish "feast" is offered to all attendees. A stay at the Doryssa Bay means comfort, modern facilities and tasteful room furniture. |
