The Castle of Knights - overlooking
the Harbour of Kos Town this magnificent castle was originally
built by the Knights of St. John in the 15th Century. Destroyed
by an earthquake in 1495 the fortress was rebuilt. In the 16th
century it was reinforced with double walls and moats to fight
off the Ottomans. Well worth the visit.

Asklipieon - situated outside
the town of Kos, Asklipeon Sanctuary was built in the 4th
Century B.C just after the death of Hyppocrates, it was
dedicated to the father of Modern Medicine. The Sanctuary is
built in three terraces due to the sloping terrain.

Visit the Hot Springs at Empros Thermae. - A
short distance from Kos town you can visit the Empros Thermae hot
springs. The water here is said to be
therapeutic and suitable for various problems and illnesses such as
Stunted Growth of Children, Respiratory Problems, Skin Diseases, Eye
Diseases, Muscle Defects, Rheumatism and Arthritis. The springs
consists of a rock pool in the sea into which is fed hot water from
the sea bed, creating a feeling of being in a relaxing warm bath.
